Last night was the first Night of the Celebration of the Goddess. So today is the worship of Maa Shailputri she will evoke the spiritual relationship with Mother Nature within. Shailputri is the expression of Earth, and covers all of the hills, valleys, water resources and the atmosphere. Shailputri means daughter (putri) of the mountain (shaila).
So in this reverence of the Mother Goddess of the Mountains, we contemplate on our connection to nature. With our home Earth. How are we connected to Her? How are we connected to the material form of being. The richness of our bodies in this material form.
Let us today rekindle our connection with Her mother Earth in the form of Shailputri. Yet all around the world in different cultures she is known by many different names. Gaia, Cybelle, Demeter, Terra, Frigga, Hella, Danu, Anan and Anu to name a few.
She is the Goddess of Muladhara Chakra also known as Root Chakra who, upon awakening, begins Her journey upwards to spiritual awakening and to their purpose in life. On the first day, Yogi’s keep their mind concentrated on Muladhara which is the starting point of their spiritual discipline, and they also start their Yoga Sudha (spiritual journey) from here. Here we anchor into the Earth Energy through the Root Chakra.
I am sending you so much love and may your journey bring you joy, harmony and peace. May all the beings be showered with love, and may peace and harmony govern our hearts and soothe the suffering in all the Worlds.
