Many people experience after having time at a retreat, workshops or even holidays the feeling of dread when returning back to mundane everyday life. The spirit inside us all when we are free whether that be in a retreat or workshop setting, where our spirit is allowed to unwind and soar to great heights. When we are in an environment that allows for us to experience oneness and union. Returning back into the three dimensional plane of existence can be very painful.
I think of it very much like toothpaste once squeezed out the tube, its out there you cannot put it back in the tube. So our spiritual bodies are bought out of our three dimensional bodies and allowed the space to be free and then going back into the everyday humdrum can feel really difficult.
Some people can experience this feeling for some time and it can continue and spill out into their lives in the form of depression. Feelings of loneliness and isolation can persist as being in groups of like minded people or even together with your loved ones and family can feel like a real boost of togetherness and once out of this environment, Can feel particularly difficult. So if you are experiencing spiritual compression take care of yourselves, through the awareness that it is a process that the mind and body need to go through to readjust. To help yourselves just take a day off after attending a workshop, retreat or holiday just to readjust and re frame. Allow the feelings of separation to flow as this is natural. If the symptoms persist then you may need to seek support.
